Neil Moran – Managing Director
Born and educated in Oldham, Neil undertook his professional qualifications in Manchester, whilst working for Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council; qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor in 1994.
For four years (until March 2018) Neil was a Director and Partner of Stimpsons Eves Chartered Surveyors, a regional practice with offices in Milton Keynes, Bedford and Bicester, which he helped to double in size by turnover and profit. This position gave him a more rounded understanding of running a company of Chartered Surveyors, as well as a deeper hands-on technical knowledge when it comes to Valuation and client needs.
Neil is an RICS Registered Valuer, with a strong track record in assessing and rationalising property portfolios, thereby either maintaining or transforming them into productive and well-managed ones. Further, he has developed a strong client focus on the sourcing and acquisition of properties to meet the needs of the client.
Combining extensive experience in professional survey work, strategic capability, extensive knowledge and experience managing large varied estates, brownfield site redevelopment, site assembly and a keen eye for developing added value, he enjoys helping clients determine their requirements and is well placed to deliver for them in his own practice.
Neil is married with a grown-up son. In his spare time, he is a keen sports follower, new golfer and dog walker who enjoys travelling.
Laura Barrow – Business Manager
Since returning from living abroad for a period of time, Laura has held a variety of administrative, finance and marketing related roles, before and after taking a career break with her young family.
Having previously worked with Neil at both Connells Group and Stimpsons Eves, Laura has gained extensive experience in property related matters and enjoys dealing with clients on a daily basis. She joined Neil when forming the new practice of Neil Moran Associates Limited and is a shareholder in the business.
As Business Manager and The Company Secretary, Laura is responsible for all non-surveying activities in the practice, including finance, administration, and marketing.
Laura is kept busy at home, as she is married, with three young children and dogs who are always keen to go for a walk!
Kimberley Gould – Surveyor
Kimberley works in the Leighton Buzzard office. She deals primarily with valuation work, including Red Book Valuations and for Shared Ownership and Help To Buy. She is also responsible for preparing Land Registry compliant lease and title plans and undertaking Landlord and Tenant related instructions.
With over 12 years of experience working in the property industry, previous roles include having undertaken residential block management, measured surveys and general practice surveying. This varied background has provided her with a broad range of skills across both residential and commercial sectors, which she was excited to bring to Neil Moran Associates, helping to help grow the business.
Kimberley is an Associate member of the RICS and an AssocRICS Registered Valuer. She is currently working towards her Assessment of Professional Competence with a view to becoming a full member of the RICS.
In her spare time she enjoys various creative hobbies and improving her German.
Juliet Lowe – Senior Administrator
Juliet recently joined the company as Senior Administrator having previously gained many years of administrative experience in both the private and public sector. The strong organisational skills Juliet has gained along the way are put into very good use at NMA, supporting the Business Manager with the smooth day-to-day running of the company.
After leaving school and completing her education in Business Studies, Juliet has worked in a variety of administrative, internal communications and Personal Assistant roles, right up to assisting at Chief Executive and Board level, in the recruitment, air traffic control and commercial property maintenance fields.
Away from work, when she’s not relaxing on a beach in Kefalonia, Juliet enjoys spending time with her family, including her two grown up children, and has a passion for attending live music events, walking and camping.
Sophie Phillips – Administrator
Having previously worked in retail since leaving school, Sophie worked her way up to become a team leader gaining excellent communication and customer facing skills. After four years within this sector it was time to change career.
Sophie joins the team as Business Administrator Apprentice who will support the Business Manager with a variety of administrative duties to help the business run effectively.
In her spare time, she enjoys socialising, travel and loves to make new memories with family and friends
